Notice of Meeting to Adjourn the Board of Review
Due to Incomplete Assessment Roll
Town of Alban, Portage County

The Board of Review will meet on the 8th day of May, 2024 at 5:45p.m. at the Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative, 10401 Lystul Rd., Rosholt, WI for the purpose of calling the Board of Review into session during the 45-day period beginning on the 4th Monday of April, pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 70.47(1).
Due to the fact the assessment roll is not completed at this time, the Board of Review will be adjourned until the 4th day of September, 2024 at 5:45 pm.

A revaluation of property assessments in the Town of Alban shall occur for the 2024 assessment year. Revaluation notices are expected to be sent to property owners in October, 2023.  Please also notice that the Assessor has certain statutory authority to enter land as described in Wis. Stat. §§ 943.13 and 943.15.
The ability to enter land is subject to several qualifications and limitations, as described in the statutes. Copies of the applicable statutes can be obtained at public depositories throughout the State of Wisconsin and from the State of Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau website (www.legis.state.wi.us/rsb.stats.html), or a copy may be obtained from the municipal clerk upon payment of applicable copying charges.

Concerned about your water quality?

Click here to read more about the Portage County WATER (Well Owners Assistance for Economic Treatment and Recovery) Program. This program is open to any local private well owners/users in the County that are concerned about their water quality.  In order to participate, well owners must first register for a free water test.  Based on the results of the water test, participants may qualify for up to $1,500 towards the purchase and installation of a reverse osmosis treatment system.
